My Background

I’m Camille Rios, a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelor of Science degree and an RDHAP, or Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice, license in California.

My career in dentistry began in 1999, when I joined the U.S. Army at just 17 years old and served as a dental assistant. During my military service, I continued my education in dental assisting and became a Registered Dental Assistant, a license I still maintain today. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of dental settings and areas of dentistry, gaining valuable experience and building meaningful relationships with patients and colleagues. I also worked for a dental equipment company, where I represented the company at professional trade shows and gained another perspective on the dental industry.

In 2023, I earned my Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from Pasadena City College and became a Registered Dental Hygienist. I continued my education at Foothill College in Los Altos, California, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2025. Most recently, I became licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice. Throughout every stage of my career, one thing has remained constant: I truly enjoy helping people. I’m grateful for the opportunity to do work that allows me to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

I believe in providing gentle, thorough, and personalized care. I take the time to listen, answer questions, and help each patient feel comfortable and informed. Every person has different oral health needs, experiences, and concerns, and I believe they deserve to be treated with patience, compassion, and respect. Patient education is also very important to me. I want people to understand their oral health and feel confident making decisions about their care.

My goal is not only to help patients maintain a healthy smile, but also to help them feel supported and cared for throughout the process. I’m also passionate about expanding access to preventive dental care through RDHAP services and exploring ways to bring care to people who may have difficulty receiving dental hygiene services in a traditional dental office.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and staying active in my community. I’m grateful to live and work in such a beautiful part of California and to be part of a profession that gives me the opportunity to help others every day.
